Item Description
6.5x21" thin artboard has India ink art by Al Taliaferro in four panels. Donald Duck is annoyed that there are moths in the house, so he sends his Nephews down to the store to get mothballs. They pick them up and ignore store clerk's advice on how to use them, last panel revealing the boys using slingshots to shoot at moths w/moth balls, much to Donald's surprise. Art is dated "11-13" w/Walt Disney Productions ©1956 strip paste-over on second panel and King Features Syndicate strip in third. Art has applied screen tone shading accents which have tanned in a few places (including some scattered aging to store clerk in second panel) as is typical over the years, o/w art is VF/Exc. A superb example by fan-favorite Taliaferro, who was the "Donald Duck" daily strip artist from its inception in 1938 until his death in 1969.
