Item Description
8.5" long tin litho toy w/clear plastic bubble cockpit w/three-dimensional tin litho pilot figure within and translucent plastic covering on top that allows for engine light to be viewed. Made in Japan by Tada, 1960s. The name "Space Ship X-8 Scouting " is repeated on both sides. Back of toy has rubber boot that holds 2.75" dia. tin litho space antenna dish and on/off switch. Toy works and travels around w/bump-and-go action, engine lights, antenna dish revolves and toy produces beeping noise. Rubber antenna boot is split, but antenna dish stays in place (though it tilts slightly). Battery box is clean. Body of toy has some lt. scattered wear. Cockpit dome has two .25" stresslines. Fine overall.
