Item Description
Lot of 25 different pin-up ink blotters, each 3-7/8x9" and from one of two imprints - H.N. Crowder Jr. Co. or Sta-Rite Ginnie-Lou, Inc. Printed by Brown & Bigelow. 1940s-1950s. Each features great Earl Moran pin-up image w/or w/o humorous verses. Of note, four blotters feature pin-ups that Moran had a young Marilyn Monroe model for. These include her in a sheer Arabian outfit, doing yardwork w/shovel as chicken looks on, topless (but discreetly posed) holding up garment and looking over her shoulder and reacting w/surprise to letter, her nakedness barely concealed. Three have some use on reverse, including Monroe doing yardwork. Scattered lt. handling wear and corner tip wear. VF-Exc. overall. Nice lot.
