Item Description
14x22" thin cardboard window card for Frank Borzage directed 1927 silent film, one of the first films to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture (then called "Outstanding Picture"). The film is a romance starring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell. Gaynor went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, while Borzage won for Best Director and the film's screenwriter Benjamin Glazer won for Best Writing, Adaptation. Window card is for the film's original release and features nice inset portrait image of Gaynor and Farrell. Marquee has "Tivoli" theatre name and showtimes. Window card is aged and has scattered margin wear w/foxing to corner tips. Fine overall and would look great framed.
