Item Description
3-5/8x6.5" first day cover for the "Robert F. Kennedy USA 15c" stamp issued January 12, 1979. Signed “ Rosa L. Parks 1/2/89” by her in black ink. Park's refusal to give up her bus seat to a white passenger and the Montgomery bus boycott became landmark events of the modern civil rights movement. Parks died in 2005. Envelope and signature are essentially mint. Reverse has brief bio of RFK and names the artist who did the front illustration as Gene Boyer. Flap is unsealed. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
