Item Description
14.25x 21.5” thin art board w/seven panels dated 9-9-1979. Storyline has Hank talking to editor Livright as Sparky and girl jog. Bottom panel is set in beauty salon w/classic image of Brenda crying, saying “Cut It All Off!” as man in background says “Oh, No..Not The Most Beautiful Hair In The World!” Back of art has handwritten ink text “I Hand Colored This Brenda Starr Original Dale Messick”. Logo is a hand colored photo stat. Bright and Exc. Complete w/Chicago Tribune copyright sticker. Nice example wonderfully hand colored by the legendary female comic strip artist. Historic example. 1979 was the last year Messick wrote and drew the entire strip.
