Item Description
11-1/8x17" thin artboard has original pen and ink art for April 1978 issue of "Superman" #322 by noted Silver Age Superman comic book artist Curt Swan. Art is for "Laser War Over Metropolis!" story by Martin Pasko and features splash page image of large clock, divided into thirds, each third showing a different scene from story - Superman falling, Space Shuttle activating laser weapon from satellite and Metropolis burning. At center of clock is portrait of Superman villain The Parasite. Top of page has character history and title paste-over while bottom has publishing indica paste-overs as this was first page of comic. Top margin has title and issue number in black marker. Scattered blue pencil editorial notations at margins, particularly at bottom left. Scattered lt. handling wear w/top paste-over partially loose. Artboard has lt. margin aging. VF overall w/clean, Exc. art.
