Item Description
3.5” button that matches one reading "I Like Roland" issued to promote character in long black undertaker’s coat portrayed by John Zacherle on WCAU-TV Channel 10 as host of “Shock Theater” from Oct. 7, 1957 to Sep. 13, 1958. This matching button references Roland’s lab assistant with the text “Where’s Igor?” Dick Clark supposedly gave Zacherle the nickname “The Cool Ghoul.” In 1958, Zacherle cut “Dinner With Drac” for Cameo Records and moved to NYC television where his shows included the 1960s Chiller Theater in New York on WPIX. Center has 1.25" dia. circular mark caused by air under the cello but no stain and full gloss. Mark shows only in certain light angles. Very brief and local issue. Scarce.
