10x13" mat is marked "Jay Ward Productions Inc." in small lettering at lower right and contains original late 1960s hand-painted publicity cel w/matching hand-painted bkg. which has been matted to 7x9". Original mat as issued. Features Super Chicken and his lion sidekick Fred in egg-shaped "Super Coupe" aircraft. "Super Chicken" was a segment that ran on the animated TV series "George Of The Jungle," debuting on Sept. 9, 1967. It was produced by Jay Ward and Bill Scott, who earlier had created the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. Mat has some lt. even aging but cel is NM as issued.
