Item Description
7.5x7.5" die-cut thin cardboard mask dates to the original 1941 release of "I Wanted Wings" film that starred Ray Milland and William Holden along w/Veronica Lake in her first major film role. The film saw the participation of the US Army Air Corps who provided 1,160 airplanes, 1,050 cadets, 450 officers/instructors, and 2,543 enlisted men for the film. Wonderful promotional mask incorporates pilot's goggles and helmet and has applied miniature wings w/"Pilot - I Wanted Wings" text. Right side edge has 7/8" tear by edge of goggle w/tape repair on reverse. VG/Fine. Rare.
