Item Description
Boltinoff DC filler pages have India ink image areas ranging from 8.5x13” to 13x18”. Two are from “Batman" #56 Dec. 1949, one is from “G.I. Combat” #116 March 1966. Full page is titled “Little Pete”, half pages are titled “ Casey the Cop” and “Cap’s Hobby Center”. All three have photostat titles and are signed in ink “Henry Boltinoff”. Blank margins have editorial notes, image areas Exc. Fourth item is pair of art boards from “Batman” #56 for story “W-h-o-o-s-h and You’re There!” First has photostat text story, the other board has hand inked title and 4.5x12.5” image area consisting of half India ink art and half reversed photostat forming mirror image of woman looking up. A few glue stains and aging. Good. Henry Boltinoff (1914-2001) did humor strips for DC comics from the 1940s to the 1970s. Brother Murray was a DC editor. Interesting group.
