Item Description
This business began in 1931 in Westfield, Massachusetts. The idea was that small investors could start their own business by selling everyday products such as household cleaners, brushes and mops. They pioneered the "Party Plan" sales method. This program provided a training ground for future business leaders such as Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics and Brownie Wise of Tupperware. This ring seems to date from their early years in the 1930s. It has a coppery luster finish with adjustable bands. Each side pictures a star below the words "Stanley Club Wishing Ring." On the top of the ring is a domed plastic stone resembling malachite in color. Very trivial loss of the copper luster from the lower prongs. Only example we recall seeing. Rare and Extremely Fine.
