Item Description
Each of these is 1.25". In our photo the bottom set of six are the typically seen buttons. Each of these have a back paper. None of these have text on the upper rim edge. The set of six in the top of our photo have union bugs on the reverse. Each of these have a three word slogan around the top rim edge. In this set button #4 pictures the "Autogiro" whereas in the standard set the plane pictured on button #4 is captioned "Coste And Belonte's 'Question Mark.'" Each of the other five buttons in the two sets is identical. These relate to Lindbergh, Post And Gatty, Commander Byrd, Amelia Earhart, and Floyd Bennett. The buttons with the upper rim slogan are about ten times scarcer than those without. This complete set of twelve spent decades in the Hake Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
