Item Description
Mint luster solid brass card 2.25x3.75” with text and highly detailed inaugural parade scene with hundreds of people as spectators and U.S. Capitol in background. Shown in foreground are eight horses pulling a circus wagon with two drivers. Upper sign on wagon reads “Cole Bros.” and lower sign reads “President Truman/Vice President Barkley.” Below this is a paragraph reading “’America’ Calliope At President Harry Truman’s And Vice President Alben Barkley’s Inauguration Parade, Washington, D.C. January 20, 1949.” Bold text upper left “Cole Brothers Circus/Lifetime Pass.” Obviously an extremely limited issue from the circus to select dignitaries. Comes with original gray felt pouch with cover flap. Rare. Mint.
