Item Description
Complete set of five relief style advertising signs, each utilizing a different sport theme, and each measuring between 15" and 18". These signs were displayed in stores and/or restaurants in the 1950s. Signs were made by Louis G. Audette & Co. as marked on back of boxing sign. ©1954 The Coca-Cola Company. Sports depicted include - baseball, football, boxing, hockey and tennis. Each sign has a single (two figures for boxing) embossed foil athlete figure applied over image of sports equipment including catcher's mitt for baseball, football, glove for boxing, goal net for hockey and tennis racket. Both hockey goal net and tennis racket have netting bkgs. Each sign has 5.25" dia. "Drink Coca-Cola" logo and each has different text block at bottom. Baseball - "Whatever You Do"; Football - "Wherever You Are"; Boxing - "Pause - Have A Coke"; Hockey - "Feel Refreshed"; Tennis - "Play Refreshed." Signs have some aging/wear w/more noticeable aging to tennis racket netting. Embossed foil figures have some scattered color rubs but signs are Fine-VF overall.
