Item Description
11x14" Silver Gelatin custom darkroom print on museum-quality double-weight fiber paper. This photo shows The Stones in their dressing room in 1965. Photographed by Jim Marshall (1936-2010), the only photographer allowed backstage at The Beatles' last concert, and chief photographer at Woodstock. He famously photographed Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar on fire at the Monterey Pop Festival and Johnny Cash at San Quentin. Portrait has white border margin and Marshall has written the following in black ink - "The Stones - 1965" and has signed his name and dated print "1994" at lower right. Photo also has inscription at lower center "For Rosie - For All Your Years To Come And All That Were. JM." As matted, this text is not visible, but mat has also been signed and dated in pencil, w/matching "The Stones - 1965" text. Back of mat has Marshall's studio stamp, inked date and negative number. Mat shows wear to one corner but remains superb for framing and display. NM.
