10.5x16" thin artboard featuring original art by legendary comic book artist Gil Kane (co-creator of the modern-day versions of Green Lantern and the Atom for DC Comics, and co-creator of Iron Fist for Marvel Comics) for "John Carter Warlord Of Mars" #5 published by Marvel Comics in Oct. 1977. Art has been inked by Rudy Nebres. Issue was written by Marv Wolfman w/interior art by Kane. Great page shows Carter in four of the five panels, fighting a gigantic "Deadly Martian Spider." The spider is seen in all five panels. Various inked notations and title stamp on margins. Bottom margin has applied page number and "Continued Next Page" labels. Two text boxes have white correctional fluid, likely from script changes. Top two corners have been clipped, neither affecting art, which remains VF. Comes w/a reading copy of the actual comic book.
