3-5/8x6.25” government envelope has “Maurice Sendak” handwritten return address on front w/Connecticut address. Contains 6x7” notepaper on ”Maurice Sendak” letterhead w/two sides handwritten in ballpoint pen dated “April 16, 1983”. He mentions “I Am A Traveling Man These Days & Have Been Away From Here-Seattle Washington For A New Production Of Nutcracker & A Wild Things Opera In London”. He gives advice “As For Publishing-It (As Vulgar Youth Says) Sucks. I’m Out Of It & Into That Silly, Ancient Form Called Opera & Ballet & Beginning, At 54, To Be Delighted With Life”. He closes w/ “My Love To You & Isaac. Yours, Maurice”. Envelope has bit of age toning. Fine. Letter has one fold, otherwise Exc. Full content can be seen on our website.
