Item Description
Pair of 6x12" painted metal license plates with bold numeral "1" at center. Plates come with 11x14" color photo showing Reagan and wife above open roof of limo waving to the crowd. One of the two licenses is clearly shown in the photo on the limo's front bumper. The other is from the rear bumper. Set was given to a White House employee following the event. Plates are both Mint as issued but both have original weatherproof coating that gives the white areas a tan tone and both have some streaking of this material as originally applied, more noticeably on one plate than the other. In any case, Mint as issued and a unique set of historical significance from the first day of the Reagan presidential era.
