Item Description
Lot of four 11.5x14.5" thin artboard w/India ink image area ranging in size from 10.5x11.25" to 10.75x12". Art is for Harvey Publications. Numbers, publication dates, and scenes are: #39 May, 1963 Sad Sack being squirted by General’s pointer; #41 Sept., 1963 General leaving dripping umbrella on Sad Sack’s nose in cloak room; #43 Jan., 1964 dead bees dropping into General’s soup from Sad Sack’s bug spray in mess hall; #44 Mar., 1964 Sad Sack’s clippers cutting General’s newspaper as he looks at pretty girl. All images also feature dog "Muttsy." Three are boldly signed in ink at bottom by creator George Baker. All are drawn by him. A few margin pencil notes. Image area will mat and frame to Exc. appearance. Well drawn and funny.
