Item Description
This is a mate to the previous Lincoln. 13/16" brass shell frame with suspension hole at top as made. Listed as Sullivan GMcC1864-55. Obverse depicts bright and sharp focus portrait with only flaw a near microscopic hairline of excess emulsion from his ear at right to upper right corner. Brass background contains 32 stars and text along the left and right sides of the opening reading "Pat. Apr. 2. 1861." Reverse is identical except for ferrotype image of "Pendleton." An outstanding example with crystal clear portraits and 100% brilliant brass luster. Extremely rare in this high grade condition essentially Mint as made.
