Item Description
Period frame with minor wear is 18.75x23.75" with plexiglass over double mat and image area of 10.25x14.75". "Harper's Weekly" at top, titled as quoted in our title below the image with "W.A. Rogers" artist name. Tiny text lower left "Supplement To Harper's Weekly, Vol. XLIV., No. 2250, February 3, 1900." Wonderful scene of Theodore Roosevelt in Rough Rider uniform on horseback contemplating paper in a typewriter perched on his saddle. Other details of telephone strapped to horse's head with suspended equipment of boxing gloves, sword, rifle in sheath and pair of exercise clubs. An early prediction that came to pass six months later in Philadelphia. Print is Mint.
