6x9" 16-page cardstock cover yearbook for 1949 K-O-M League Independence (Missouri) Yankees which features baseball legend Mickey Mantle in his first year of professional baseball. A 17-year-old Mantle is pictured in the team photo and listed as a Shortstop. He is again pictured above his brief biography amongst the other team players. Book has handling wear with evident pinch creases to spine. Fine. Early and historic item for this future Baseball Hall of Fame member and New York Yankees legend.
