Item Description
First is a 8.5" long base that holds 5" tall tin litho dog with two other animals. By TPS, Japan 1950s. Colorful box has moderate wear including color rubs, some lt. stains, lt.creases but no splits and tight and solid. Still displays Fine. Toy itself works and when wound squirrel and dog loop rope and little girl bear appears to skip rope. Just a few tiny pinpoint paint nicks as produced. Exc. Next is a 2.5x4x6" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key marked "Made In Japan." 1950s. Rabbit has brown rubber ears, both are expertly crafted replacements just a hair thicker than the original. Toy works and when wound, travels around as if skating and changes direction every so often. Fabric pants and jacket have overall fading and have some traces of lt. tan aging but toy just has small scattered paint nicks. Tin litho parts are bright and glossy. Overall still displays Fine. A pair of the more interesting and novel TPS toys.
