Item Description
8x10.75". 264 pages. Book was published in 1937. "Class of 1940" refers to graduation year. Page 19 details "Class Elections." JFK is listed as one of 29 candidates for the freshmen class officers. In the primary balloting, only six men receiving the greatest number of votes formed the ballot for the final election. JFK was not one of them. He is pictured on page 97 with his full name, Bronxville, N.Y. address and lists his participation in football, swimming, and chairman of Smoker Committee. Page 195 pictures him with four other members of the "Smoker Committee" (an annual event featuring various celebrities and entertainers). Page 202 shows JFK posed with the football team. He again appears in the swim team photo on page 228 and is listed in the "Swimming Squad" roster on page 229. Light traces of mildew spotting on first three glossy pages, all others extremely clean, although about 20% of pages have light pencil notation in margin where someone was counting the class member photos. The final number of class members is "995." Small bit of color off spine edge. VF.
