Item Description
14x17" thin white art board mounted to heavy art board w/full image ink and watercolor/colored markers image. Re-creation from the April 1963 Detective Comics #314 splash page, the image is of the classic early 1960s Batman and Robin in pursuit of "The Phantom Of The Opera". Extremely detailed background of a stage with fallen chandelier. Large logo is just above them and caption below reads "Murder In Movieland", The feature story with Batman and Robin trying to nab a disgruntled actor before he can murder three movie studio heads while reprising some of his greatest screen roles. Signed in black ink at lower right "Sheldon 'Shelly' Moldoff '94." Moldoff was Bob Kane's first assistant on Batman and was the artist on this story when it first appeared. A classic image of exceptionally large size with great detail and choice colors. St. margin aging but still displays Exc.
