12.5x16.5" overall with visible area of 9.5x13.5". Titled "Col. John C. Fremont/Planting The American Flag On The Highest Peak Of The Rocky Mountains." Undated by likely from first republican campaign of 1856. Includes hand tinted color accents of blue and yellow but primarily in black and white. Frame is c. 1856 era but has a new backing board. Exceptionally clean. Displays NM.
