Item Description
Only our second seen original card and complete set of 27 buttons Washington through Wilson. Each is 1" with backpaper reading "Your Credit Is Good At The New England." The company sold furniture and carpet and was located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hayes has slight creamy tone compared to others. Buchanan has a few surface marks seen only in reflected light. The other 25 are Exc. to Mint. The 10x12" card has moderate dust soil, two small missing pieces, two corners off, and creasing on margins with ten archival tape repairs on blank reverse to arrest several 1-2" splits or heavy creases. In light pencil is name and street address of child attending "George Bancroft" school who has assembled the set. Text from company states their best wishes "In The Hope That The Effort Made In Assembling This Collection Of Presidents Buttons May Inspire Greater Love Of Country And Fuller Realization Of The Privileges And Responsibilities Of Citizenship, We Take Pleasure In Presenting The Same With Our Best Wishes..."
