Exceptionally designed 4x12x3.5" tall friction car in tin litho w/hard plastic band members holding soft plastic instruments and hard plastic engine. ©1967. Made by Aoshin Co. Ltd., Japan. Box lid is nicely illustrated on all sides and box bottom is complete w/all three styrofoam inserts. Lid has lt. edge wear w/a 5" crease along top center. Glossy, clean and tight. VF. Car is detailed w/"Monkees" logo on each door and the drum head. Works and plays a Monkees-inspired song but this can run a bit slow at times, often the case with this toy.
