c.1950s. 27" wide 23" tall overall high quality twill jacket with lining, cloth-covered buttons and white mink collar. Inside has “Forstmann Fashioned By Nob Hill Of California” label as well as Lady Garment Workers Union label. Jacket shows little wear and is Exc. This jacket was consigned by Marilyn's friend and noted Marilyn lecturer Lynn Pupello to the 1998 "Help For American Indians" memorabilia sale. Comes with Hake’s COA and "Help For American Indians" COA with handwritten text in ink by Lynn Pupello noting “Marilyn Monroe’s Black Jacket With Mink Collar” with affidavit written at bottom “My Friend Marilyn Monroe, Gave Me Her Jacket In New York City In 1961.” Certificate also notes transfer of ownership to our consignor with date of 5-12-98 A wonderful chance to get a high fashion piece of clothing actually worn by an actress who is a true Hollywood legend.
