Item Description
This group consists of three pieces. One of these is an envelope from female in Pittsburgh with April 22 1964 postmark addressed to "Beatles Fan Club International" in Detroit. Envelope has been opened along top edge and has 3" tear on upper left but remains in clean condition. Inside is folded 7x10.5" stationery with handwritten message to the club "I Would Like To Join Your Beatles Fan Club. I Am Glad That You Have Organized This Club To Stamp Out The Anti Beatles Club. The Beatles Are Really Great And I Would Like To Be An Official Fan Of Theirs'." With the previous two pieces comes a celluloid button that was issued c. 1964 by this group. It has union bug back stamp and is 1.5" showing a cartoon of face with Beatles style hair and with pair of antennae coming from the top of the head. Carries group name "Beatles Fan Club International." Button and letter are essentially Mint. Morry Greener Collection.
