Item Description
19x19.25" nice quality wood frame has archival mat with 11.5x12" opening revealing scene which was originally part of four seasons calendar. Art is by KFS staff artist Louis Biederman. Winter scene has over forty characters and includes nighttime ice skating event with Jiggs and Maggie leading line of characters as Ignatz throws snowball at Felix and Krazy Kat rushes to rescue of duck who has fallen through ice. Other images include Toots and Casper's dog on leash attached to the Captain who has flipped upside down and hit his head as Hans and Fritz laugh nearby, Barney Google and Rudy the ostrich on back of Spark Plug who has skis on his feet coming down hill and Maud the Mule kicking sleigh with two men flying through air in bkg. Image area has trace of lt. dust soil and is Fine but displays Exc. as framed. Exceptionally well done with art by the same artist who illustrated "All The Funny Folks" book. Extremely limited distribution. We sold a complete calendar with all four pages for $3,042 years ago in Auction #168. Ready for display. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
