Paper caption on reverse is dated 2-22 35 and is titled "Stabbed Japanese Publisher With American Friends". Text notes "Because He Sponsored Babe Ruth's Triumphant Baseball Tour, Matsutaro Shoriki Publisher Of The Yomiuri Shimbun, Was Stabbed In The Neck By Katsusuke Nagasaki, A Jingoistic Member Of The War Like Gods Society. Nagasaki Argued That The American Stars Exhibitions Drained Money From Japan At A Time Of Depression. The Victim Is Shown At The Extreme Left Just Before An Exhibition Game Last Fall. The Others Are Left To Right American Ambassador Joseph Clark Grew; Connie Mack, Manager Of The American Team; Marquis Nobutsune Okuma, Japanese Baseball Enthusiast, And Babe Ruth."
