Item Description
15x18" vintage dark oak frame has mat with 14"dia. opening revealing hand-lettered sign in white paint on black bkg. with small red hand painted star just above James Dean's name. c. 1950s and likely done for either "East of Eden" or "Giant". Not a studio produced item, most likely done by local sign maker for large city theater. Mat opening is a bit unevenly cut and white paint on portion of a few letters has smeared a bit. Overall VG. Nice for display and obviously done while Dean was still living. Unique, one of a kind.
