Item Description
c. 1960s. 5x5.25" sheet of paper has nice color marker sketch of Kurtzman. Art has bold "H. Kurtz" signature along with his man figure. Sheet has horizontal fold through center with a few light creases here and there. Fine. Comes with two different Little Annie Fanny pencil layout sketches as done by Kurtzman for the Playboy series he did with Will Elder. First sheet is 5.25x6" with Annie wearing shorty pajamas talking to a girlfriend; the other sheet is 6x7.5" with image of well-endowed Annie running in short skirt. Both are unsigned and Exc. Little Annie Fanny ran in Playboy from 1962 to 1988 and Kurtzman did the preliminary art for Will Elder. Along with Elder, other artists on the series included Jack Davis and Frank Frazetta. Interesting group.
