Item Description
c. early 1900s. 12x15" high quality wood frame has double archival mat with 4-3/8x9" opening revealing wonderful India ink image of pretty mermaid floating on sea surrounded by scalloped scroll work design. Art is initialed in ink at upper right "GW.E". Some scroll work has white accent color as done by the artist, otherwise Exc. Edwards was an American illustrator and impressionistic painter who also authored several books on historical subjects and travel. Wonderful pen work. Ready for display.
