Item Description
Complete 1944 premium as issued. 4x5.75" gray envelope has Ralston Straight Shooters St. Louis return address and contains 3x5" instruction sheet, brass accent ring with "TM" initials on each side and 5x7" manual of 16 pages in b/w and red accent color. The ring has five scattered areas with 1/8" dia. spots of missing luster but luster is about 90% intact and this much bright luster is rarely seen on this premium from the World War II years. The manual has nice cover photo of smiling Tom riding his horse Tony. Well illustrated contents includes Tom's life story, his injures, Ralston Straight Shooters Pledge of Allegiance with image of ring shown at the page top, secret salute, secret knocks, etc. and patriotic messages. Inside back cover has photo of Tom enjoying Ralston cereal and the back cover lists stations on Mutual Network broadcasting his show. Envelope has a few light handling creases. Manual has horizontal fold through center as mailed and slight ripple due to being packaged with lumpy ring but otherwise Mint. A rare war years complete kit. Our last way back in Auction #166 sold for $350. From the Joe Gura Premium Collection.
