Item Description
Sizes range from 7x9-1/8" to 8.25x10". First three photos are from 1935 and have attached caption slips from Associated Press or International News. One shows his mother, sisters and brothers celebrating his victory over Primo Carnera, another shows crowd in Harlem celebrating after winning over Primo Carnera, and third photo shows him sitting next to Max Baer in the boxing commission office after weigh-in. Fourth photo is from Cuba c. 1950s showing him with well-dressed group of people with most wearing Red Cross lapel tags. Fifth photo is c. 1960s showing him in door in front of "Ehlers Spice Bar" with Louis and man holding can of Ehlers coffee with company officials nearby. Paper captions on three photos have tanned with age and Harlem crowd photo and photo with Max Baer have yellowed emulsion. Other photos have a few lt. handling creases. Overall group is Fine/VF.
