Item Description
c. 1920 for a film originally done in 1914. 50.5x66.25" wood frame with plexiglass holds 46.75x62.75" poster issued by Himalaya Film Company of Paris distributed by Ferdinand Weil. Poster has title in French "Garçon de Café". Wonderful art image of Chaplin as a waiter trying to balance a bottle on a tray as he's being kicked. Poster has three horizontal and three vertical folds as issued with bit of wear at a few fold intersections. Top center fold seam has 6" split and upper left fold seam has a few splits. Bit of wear around edges but overall near Fine appearance. Nicely framed and must be sent this way, shipping costs will be in excess of $200.00. Ready for display. A wonderful vintage Chaplin item. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
