Item Description
7-1/8x23" thin art board has 5x16.5" India ink image area for July 24, 1972. Three panels feature Peanutbutter Bailey, ten year old scientific genius and smart aleck addict to peanut butter sandwiches, telling room full of detectives "Take Me Home In A Hurry. I'm Due To Go To Summer Camp Tomorrow! And I Must Shop For Equipment!" in first panel. Second panel shows hand with knife getting peanut butter out of jar with caption "That Is, If You Don't Need Me To Help, Here". Third panel has Dick Tracy with moustache eating peanut butter sandwich saying "No Peanutbutter, Somehow We'll Muddle Through Without You". Art is signed at lower right of third panel "Chester Gould". First panel wanted poster is a printed photostat as done by the artist, o/w image area will mat and frame to Exc. appearance. A well drawn funny example.
