11.25x17" copyright 1911 Wells & Richardson Company. Produced by American Art Works Coshocton, Ohio. Wonderful art image of little girl dyeing doll clothes in kettle with five dolls on bench behind her and doll clothes drying on line in bkg. Cardboard insert on reverse has text noting how popular Mrs. Gutmann's art is worldwide and notes "Her Paintings Have Never Been Used For Advertising And We Are Doubly Fortunate In Being Able To Secure A Busy Day In Dollville With Its Peculiar Adaptability To The Exploitation Of Diamond Dyes". Gutmann (1876-1960) was an illustrator most noted for her paintings of young children and infants. Her artwork was featured on 22 magazine covers between 1906-1920 and she also illustrated childrens' books including a 1907 edition of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Margin edges have a few shallow dents and sign has general lt. scattered wear. Still displays Fine. A classic advertising piece for Diamond Dyes and superb example of Gutmann's work.
