Item Description
6.25x12.25" two-sided tin litho sign w/wire frame for attachment to a comic book display rack. c. 1960s. The Superman side reads "Read Superman And His Amazing Adventures" and has "DC" comics logo. Opposite side features classic Batman logo and "Read Batman And His Friends In DC Comics". Design with obvious influence of the 1966 Batman TV show featuring "POW" and "BAM" with Batman and Robin inside of letters. The wire frame has moderate scattered paint wear and a slight bow on bottom. Superman side has one small dent on lower left edge with scattered paint nicks and scratches. Batman side has small scattered paint nicks and scratches, mostly along extreme edges. Batman side has scattered oxidation spots at outer edges. Appearance is still bright and glossy. Superman side is Fine, Batman side is VG. Scarce display item. From the Saul Ferris Collection.
