Timely knew they had a solid cover subject, but they always threw a story that featured a great, more traditional hero in the book. For this issue, the Sub-Mariner has a solo spotlight. The cover is highlighted by a beautiful blonde racing across the center, but the real action is behind her in the left had corner. It looks like a psychotic physician is holding a knife to the throat of the patient he should be operating on. What is even more puzzling is that the Police are looking on as if nothing is going on.
