Item Description

His famous "Little Tramp" image appears in bottom right corner. Chaplin has signed below and to the right of his portrayal of Adenoid Hynkel, "Sincerely Charlie Chaplin." Booklet features many colorful illustrations throughout from the movie, its actors and a biographical section on Chaplin w/images of his previous characters. Front and back covers have some moderate aging and some handling wear, pinch creases to spine and some surface paper wear along spine. Front cover has a 2.5" corner crease and penciled text "Gus 12/25/40." Back cover has a .5x1" area of soiling which bleeds through to inside back cover and a 3/8x1.75" area of soiling above it. Book has a small tape repair at bottom right corner and a 1-3/8" tape reinforcement at top of spine. Covers are Fine, pages are Exc. A nice, bold signature beside a classic image of one of the first great film stars. Comes w/letter of authenticity from Hake's.
