Item Description
8.25X10.5". Copyright 1941. Published by Charles Dewar Co. Newark, NJ with 15¢ cover price. Design is similar to a comic book with slick paper covers and 56 pulp paper pages. Inside front cover has text introduction by Devon Francis, President of Aviation Writer’s Association and cartoonist Kirschbaum. Individual pages are devoted to single flyers. Includes: Igor Sikorsky, Louise Thaden, Colonel Clarence Chamberlain, Howard Hughes, Colonel Roscoe Turner, Amelia Earhart, Colonel Charles Lindburgh, Jacqueline Cochran, Laura Ingles and Captain Eddie Rickenbacker. See Rickenbacker signed banquet program and related Eastern Airlines glasses lots #1305-1306. Covers have some lt. foxing with a few handling creases, back cover shows more foxing than front cover. Inside pages very lightly but evenly tanned though not brittle. One inside page has .75" blank margin edge tear. Overall Fine. Nice art.
