Item Description
c. 1950s. 4.25x21.75x3.75” deep thin cardboard box has illustrated paper label on top with design of “Puppet” letters pulled by strings. Pelham Puppets Ltd. Marlborough made in England. Lid has scattered lt. to moderate dust soil with a few scattered moisture marks here and there. A few strips of 2” wide opaque cellophane tape extends a bit on to label edge. Upper right corner of label has 1.5” diagonal piece missing. Box VG. Complete with folded illustrated instruction sheet. Fine. Heavy composition figure is 20” tall with strings attached to wooden controls. Although marionette appears to have had little use, strings are tangled. Exc.
