Item Description
Whitman #2091 c. 1936. 11.25x13.25x1” deep box has choice lid art of Alley running from dinosaur. Inside box bottom is colorful playing board showing Alley with Dinny the Dinosaur with both in various activities. Center of lid has grommet which holds metal spinner in place on underside of lid. Spinner is 5.25” long die-cut metal with numbered wheels surrounded by various prehistoric animals plus rules at bottom for playing. Whitman #2091 ©Stephen Slesinger, Inc. Underside lid and spinner and design are same as “Og Son Of Fire” game #2039. Lid surface has lt. dust soil, bottom corner panel seams are split, left side panel has split. Top side panel has split. VG. Box bottom has split at top end panel. Playing surface is clean, bright and Exc. Complete with 4 wood playing pieces. Wonderful graphics and one of the first non-book Alley Oop items made.
