Item Description
3-1/8x5” stiff card with blank reverse includes photo of the candidate, a Chicago businessman who made 3 tries for the GOP presidential nomination in 1944, 1948 and 1952. This is from his first effort in 1944 and the card reads “Win The War And Bring The Boys Back Home/With Reilly Alvin Bender For President of the United States of America/General Douglas MacArthur Secretary of War/And Admiral Chester W. Nimitz/Secretary of Navy/100% For America With No Foreign Entanglements.” Card includes address of Chicago headquarters. Small bit of margin aging and trivial aging on the blank reverse. A rare hopeful item and the only example we’ve seen.
