Item Description
10.25x15” thick artboard with paper overlay has 10.25x13.5” image area done in acrylic for the German one-sheet movie poster for the 1980 Canadian horror film that starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Ben Johnson and David Copperfield. Great art shows the train in question steaming through passage, its smoke revealing female victim being menaced by people in alien, bird, monk, witch and Groucho Marx costumes. In the film, the killer killed each of these costumed characters, assuming their masks/costumes. Art differs slightly from final poster design as train was shifted from mid-bottom center to bottom right as note at bottom of art reads “Train To Be Moved Over In Final For Title On Left Side!” Other difference is more detail to bird costume. The German poster design was totally different and featured more graphic art than the U.S. Version. Light wear at corners but art remains clean and bright and could be matted for an Exc. display.
