Item Description
18x24” first printing poster. Snarling dog holding ink pen at top with San Francisco in bkg. has text “The Wild Dog Is Loose In The Streets!” with “San Francisco, California Vol. 1 - No. 1” text below. Poster was created to promote a magazine that went un-published. Features artwork by noted artists R. Crumb and Victor Moscoso depicting an unflattering caricature of San Francisco’s former mayor Dianne Feinstein as “Bo Peep” with her dress forming a capitol dome with police and criminals fighting underneath, including one choking nude woman. Art is entitled “Behind The Scenes” and was created in 1985. Reverse of poster has stamped text reading “Please Post - Please Distribute.” Poster has been rolled and has a few tiny handling creases along margins. If framed, would display Exc. Scarce.
